MCA Underwriter

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MCA Underwriter to join our team in Brooklyn.
This is a full-time, onsite role (five days a week) focused on evaluating and structuring funding opportunities across 2nd, 3rd, and stacked positions.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record underwriting at other funding companies, brings independent judgment to complex deals, and can balance traditional risk analysis with contrarian thinking.

We are looking for someone who can spot opportunities others pass on, and also position us to win competitive deals when multiple funders are in play.

This is not a box-checking underwriting role. We expect you to think differently, make fast and defensible calls, and help us fund:
● Good deals others miss by seeing around corners.
● Great deals everyone wants by structuring sharper offers that win.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze MCA submissions, including bank statements, credit history, and stacking exposure.
•  Underwrite across multiple positions (2nd, 3rd, etc.) with sound reasoning and attention to detail.
• Make clear, defensible funding recommendations that balance merchant needs with portfolio risk.
•  Leverage advanced reasoning, data models, or AI tools to support underwriting decisions.
•  Structure offers that are competitive, realistic, and positioned to close.
• Work closely with sales and funding teams to align on deal strategy.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years MCA underwriting experience, preferably at multiple funding companies.
• Strong understanding of stacked positions and complex deal structures.
• Ability to make independent, well-reasoned calls under time pressure.
• Familiarity with AI tools, scoring models, or advanced underwriting frameworks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
